Why do more and more people run? What keeps us running, that bit further? Where does the feel good factor come from when we challenge ourselves, running? And what about the new-found confidence and joy of living that goes with it? Any other questions?
Sports reporter, radio presenter, and best-selling author of Don’t Stop Me Now and Running Up that Hill Vassos Alexander has answers to a number of these questions, and will happily tackle a few more today.

A celebration of Jane Austen’s words, wit, and writing, including extracts from her letters, juvenilia, poems, and novels.
A chance to get an understanding of the attitudes, imagination, and sensations of people who lived in country houses and rectories in the early nineteenth century, through Austen’s perceptive, satirical, and warm-hearted gaze.
TEN TINY PLAYS about Wiltshire – with BBC Radio Wiltshire, Prime Theatre, and you!
Writers have been busy, writing 2-minute plays set in Wiltshire. Ten of the plays – by Carole Cole, Michelle Hatcher, Rob Burbidge, Victoria Johnston, David Hallen, Anne Perdeux, Kate Courage, Michelle Slade, Andy Duncan, and Nick Havergal - have been chosen, by acclaimed playwrights Jamila Gavin, Sumita Majunder, and Barney Norris, to be spoken and recorded by actors from Prime Theatre.
The ten plays will be broadcast on BBC Radio Wiltshire, on the James Thomas Afternoon Show 2-4pm, Monday 4th to Friday 15th May.
They will also be available on BBC Sounds.
